Colourpop Cosmetics!
The Fall is in full swing which means it’s time for warm and dark shades. If you have never tried Colourpop cosmetics, you are missing out. The company was founded in 2014 in Los Angeles and offers high quality environmentally safe products for affordable prices. I first heard about the company about 6 months ago on Instagram and could not believe how rich the products looked. I appreciate that the company shows each swatch on different skin tones, so that women of different ethnicities may relate.
Colourpop is offering a trio of lip gloss in deep tones called In A Knot for $15.00 and free shipping. Each gloss is usually $6.00 which won’t break the bank. The colors offered in the set are Hutch; “a deep blackened violent in an Ultra Satin Finish”, Notion; “a rich red violet in an Ultra Matte Finish” and Sookie; “a rich plum in a Crème Finish.” I placed my order on Monday and my package arrived by Thursday. Each gloss has a doe foot applicator, which allows maximum coverage with one swipe of gloss.
As a child, I have always been sensitive regarding my full lips. I usually wear nude lipstick or gloss to not draw attention to my mouth. However, today I decided to live on the edge and wear a vampy lipstick. I used Hutch and I am so impressed by the rich concentration of the color, as well as, the moisturized feeling after application. A few minutes later, the gloss dried Matte. I was so fascinated that I had to take some car selfies before dinner. Even after eating dinner, dessert and sparkling cucumber mint water, the stain of the color was still very present.
