Northside Social Coffee & Wine!

Breakfast has never been my favorite meal of the day. I usually eat salads or something savory first thing in the morning. Classics like eggs, pancakes and bacon are never my go to. However, Northside Social in Arlington, VA offers unique takes on breakfast.

Each week, my friend Alexis and I, venture out to enjoy breakfast before our work day starts. She discovered Northside and I am so impressed with the quality and selection. I wasn’t very hungry, so I got a homemade oatmeal and banana bar with Jamaican red rooibos loose leaf tea. The bar came wrapped in clear saran wrap and is huge for $2.95. I was only able to eat a quarter of it because it is so rich and decadent. I usually am not a fan of Rooibos tea because of the strong taste, but it paired great with the bar. I used about a tablespoon of simple syrup to sweeten the tea. The taste can be described as spiced like apple cider.

Northside must be amazing because the line is wrapped around the café to get in and order at 7:00AM. People were meeting friends and trying to secure tables to enjoy breakfast. If you are the area and have a taste for homemade pastries and warm drinks, come try Northside. You will not be disappointed.
