Online Second Hand Consignment!
I am constantly asked how I am so successful with thrift shopping. I tell people that you must be consistent in your search and don’t give up if you don’t always find treasures. However, I realize that the search would be easier if you could second hand shop online rather than move through the stores. Vinted was created with you in mind. I discovered Vinted.com, which is an online peer to peer marketplace that allows you to sell, buy or swap clothing, shoes and accessories. The process is very easy. You create an account, which includes your size preferences and shipping locations. You are able to search for items by their type, brand or size. You can be as specific or broad as needed.
As the years have passed, I have become more particular regarding the thrifted items that I buy. My closet is already busting at the seams, so I look for unique items. For instance, I am all about graphic sweatshirts and leggings for the Fall. Instead of searching through the racks, I am able to shop wherever I choose. Because you are in direct contact with the seller, you are able to ask about the item or even make offers for a lower price. Many sellers also offer discounts, if you buy multiple items from their collection. You also save on shipping if you decide to buy more. I have purchased everything from Ugg boots to Alex and Ani bracelets.
While most of my purchases have been positive, I have encountered a few negative experiences with Vinted. Many sellers don’t log in regularly to monitor if their items have sold. If you buy an item, the seller has 1 week to ship the item. If it is not shipped, you will be given a refund and the seller receives negative feedback. I am more than satisfied with Vinted and I will continue to shop the site.
Let me know if you have used Vinted and what you think!
