Statement Necklaces!

I love all types of jewelry, but statement necklaces have become one of my favorite pieces to take an outfit to the next level. Over the years, my collection has grown so much that I have to store my necklaces in different areas including my jewelry armoire and necklace stands.

My interest started a few years while thrifting at Mustard Seed Consignment in Bethesda, MD. There was a beautiful bold ribbon necklace that had clusters of hair balls tired around it. It was super fun and surprisingly affordable. The necklace costs $16.00, which was a steal. Because of the versatility and colors, I was able to wear it with everything. I always get tons of compliments when I wear that particular necklace and everyone is always shocked to hear when I purchased it. Soon I was hooked. Instead of looking through racks of clothes at stores, I would venture over to the jewelry counter to see what jewels were for sale. I have come across so many difference colors and styles of necklaces. They also range in pricing depending on the complexity of the piece. I have seen some necklaces that are as low as $3.00 to almost $50.00. I would never pay that much, but they are pretty to look at.

Statement necklaces are pieces that will elevate your outfit. I used to think I could only wear them for for dressy occasions. Now I will throw one on over a white t-shirt and ripped jeans for a casual, yet edgy look or dress up a maxi dress. The possibilities are endless and always bring attention.
