Iron Hill Brewery!

Sunday evenings are for delicious meals and great conversation. I always feel better when I have a fulfilling meal for the beginning of the week. I usually cook a big meal, but tonight me and my mom went out. Iron Hill Brewery is a micro brewery on the Riverfront in Wilmington, They are known for their beer and great appetizers.

We checked out the menu and decided on some great choices. My mom chose the chicken gumbo with a grilled salmon salad topped with matchstick potatoes and balsamic vinaigrette. I went with the seafood bisque and lamb meatball pizza. Both the gumbo and seafood bisque came with soft focaccia bread which soaked up the soup. Shortly after, our entrees came. The salad was topped with a grilled salmon fillet and the pizza looked amazing. When my mom and I go out, we always share our entrees, so we can have a little of both. The salad was the perfect mixture of arugula, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, kalamata olives, potatoes and warm grilled salmon. It was both light and refreshing. My pizza was full of tomatoes, lamb and lots of bell pepper. The combination of flavors formed the perfect marriage.

Everything was extra yummy and I can't wait to go back to try other entrees like their fried chicken with wilted spinach and smashed Yukon potatoes. If you ever find yourself looking for a good hearty meal any day of the week, try Iron Hill Brewery!
