2 For 1 Dress!

For the past two years, my mom and I attend BZB Bazaar. It is a space for small Afrocentric based businesses to come together and vend. Everything is offered from baked goods, jewelry, hats and clothing. Of course, I always stop by Unitees, one of my favorite businesses, to score some dope reverse tie dye goods and Howard apparel.

During one Saturday as we were shopping, we came across these cool wrap dresses. Everyone knows that I am sucker for bright prints and maxi dresses. There were tons of colors and patterns to pick from. The best part is that each dress had pockets and was reversible! The opposite side was a totally different print from the other side. My mom and I both tried on several dresses to see which pattern we liked. We narrowed it down to two dresses and each purchased one. My mom was invited to a special occasion birthday party and I suggested she wear one of the dresses. She was absolutely gorgeous!

A few weeks ago, my home church had their annual women's day. The colors were navy blue with a splash of red. I decided to wear the dress for the day. I paired the dress with some chunky peep toe red suede pumps from Fia's Fab Finds and large suede hoops from Mmoreleaf. I received so many compliments and didn't want to change after church. We ended up going shopping. Since it is a wrap dress, I decided to transform it into a duster. I added a white tank, jean leggings and uggs for a casual look.

Last Sunday, we went to my mom's church for her women's day. Their colors were white with a splash of bright color. The reverse side of the dress is a white with colorful zig zags in purple and pink. It resembles kente cloth. I paired it with some purple suede heels from Fia's (of course) and a statement necklace from Remix Bethesda. People couldn't believe that it was the same dress and I got 3 great looks out of it. I can't wait to wear it again and make it funky with some distressed shorts and hi top sneakers.

I would love to find more dresses because they are a great find and deal. Who doesn't love a 2 for 1!!!!
