Good Eats in Boston!

Earlier this week, I went up to Boston for a few days for work. My trips are very short while there and usually consists of meetings with coworkers. The Somerville area is full of eclectic eateries and cafes.
Whenever I visit, my first stop is Diesel Cafe in Davis Square. It is a locally sourced cafe with baked goods and handcrafted drinks. I always check out the display case to see what is offered. Their brown butter ginger scone looked amazing and I love anything with ginger. I also ordered hot apple cider since I am not a coffee drinker. Usually i am not a big fan of scones, because they tend to be dry and crumbly. However, the ginger scone was firm but not dry. There was the right amount of ginger for a sweet winter treat. The apple cider was a nice touch to the scone.
As my Uber driver pulled into my hotel in Cambridge, I saw a sign of a restaurant that was famous for chicken fingers and honey mustard. I just knew I had to try them. As I carefully walked across the icy parking lot to Ma Magoo's (and almost fell several time), I made it to the door. The restaurant offered everything from pizza to subs but I was there for the chicken fingers. The dinner included french fries and a side salad. I got my order to go and slid back to my room. I almost drooled as I opened the take out container. It was filled to capacity with fried goodness. The chicken fingers were hand-breaded and honey mustard was tangy. I only ate a few fingers and took the rest for work the next day.
I can always count on Boston for good eats. I can't wait to go back around the summer for some fresh New England seafood!
